In order to provide information and reception facilities for an ever- increasing number of visitors to the Lotus Temple in New Delhi, a large building complex was developed within the premises of the Bahá’i House of Worship.
The building, completed in March 2002, includes a 500-seat auditorium, several exhibition galleries, and a residential complex for the maintenance team and the large number of volunteers who come to serve at the temple from around the world. The roof of the building, partly below ground, provides an impressive platform for viewing the monumental Lotus Temple and for artistic performances.
